New works – new site – https://jayaargh.com/

The works have moved on, I have finally visited all the piers listed, since I started there have been 4 new ones (now found about about another in Scotland, good reason to get back there), and 1 lost, Southampton.

The new site has a shop, and all images have been printed and hand finished in watercolour, they are available as giclee prints in three sizes, A4 unlimited and unsigned, A3 Limited edition, signed and A2 limited edition and signed.

It also includes a few structures offshore

Quarantena Gallery

This gallery will grow with the project, at present it shows the cards that have been posted out, (but not cards that are still in the post to participants). The front has the image with the date the working photo was taken, the reverse shows the message sent, first name of the recipient and where the card went.

The missing numbers haven’t been taken up yet, they will be offered later in the project.

Quarantena

An art project for a strange time.

The word Quarantine originates from the Venetian dialect form of the Italian meaning ‘forty days’, Quarantena,

The gallery shows cards posted and arrived, but not the ones that are still in the postal system.

There is now a gallery showing cards once they have been through the postal system:

Limited Edition Print Gallery

This gallery brings together three years of visiting piers. The images are listed alphabetically, but were visited in three sections, each printed in a different style.

Year one saw me visiting the piers from Saltburn to Brighton ( Roker wasnt listed at that time.). This series was printed as line drawings with some piers getting a touch of plate tone, plus a couple hand finished prints.

Year two ran from Worthing to Falmouth, including the Isle of Wight, printed as hand coloured plates, printed in a single pass through the press.

The final leg started at Burnham an Sea, running through England, Wales, England and finishing in Scotland at Fort William, with a little diversion to Roker.
Unfortunately due to weather and time, there is still one pier to visit, Ramsey Isle of Man, the planning is in place, looking for the weather window.

These are available as limited edition prints, and includes a of places visited that are not piers.

Piers from the Sea 3

Roker to Fort William

The series has almost come to an end, although I nearly have the complete set, as listed by the National Piers Society, there is still the Isle of Man to visit.

When there is a weather window I will go to Ramsey for a picture of the pier, in the meantime the show is up and running at Hertford Theatre Gallery until the end of the month:
